a little about MY  JOURNEY

Every counselor has their own story about why they do the work they do—and for me, it’s  rooted in my personal self-discovery journey and the desire to offer others what past versions of myself needed. My path began with the transformative power of yoga, where I first experienced the  connection between the body and mind. As I continued my journey, my graduate studies brought the science behind what I had felt intuitively into focus. My animal body began to learn safety. By working with other mentors and teachers, I experienced the profound effects of nervous system regulation, safe relationships, self-awareness, creativity, and spirituality.

Working in tandem, my body began to settle into a felt experience of safety — while my actions, words, and behaviors molded my life to become a version that felt more true. That evolution of change (which perhaps never ends) included moments of self-respect, synchronicity, and love, as well as loss, confusion, and grief.

I now realize the goal is not to become “healed,” the goal is to be connected to mySelf and my community; it’s that connection which allows my own inner wisdom to lead and be a source of support during times of discomfort. The goal is to accept my mortality and allow it to enliven each moment. I know therapy can be so much more than the traditional talk experience. It can be an integrative collaboration that honors the whole person, the duality of the human experience, and creates a space for one to reconnect to their truest essence.

"Collaborating with Emily has been such a pleasure. She works diligently to offer the best care from a place of compassion and integrity. She is a magic blend of science and spirit that comes from deep self work. If we weren't co-workers, I'd want her as my therapist.”

 - Gillian Debruno (Colleague and Therapeutic Coach)

"Emily offers potent medicine for nervous system healing for/with her collaborators. Her presence is grounded, curious, and allows one to feel brave enough to go deeper. She weaves profound clinical skill with deep compassion and intuitive approaches into her care. I have had the honor to learn alongside her in both a death doula training and a reiki intensive. Emily asks beautiful questions and makes community spaces feel safe for folx to be all versions of themselves.”

- Brie Huling (Colleague and Therapist)

Hi, I’m Emily. Nature lover, Advocate for Rest & Play, and Truth Seeker who feels alive in the presence of authentic human experience.

No Magic Wand—Just a Willingness to Sit in the Muck and Help You Find Your Way.

Like you, I am a human still figuring it out.

Through my own journey, I’ve discovered mentors and holistic practices that have helped me navigate this world less restricted by fear, shame, or trauma. I am continuing to learn how to  balance ease and effort,  surrender and striving, and honoring pain and allowing it to move to make room for something new. I want to share those practices and philosophies - and explore others from your own unique culture and  background- to help you reconnect with your truth. I don’t have the magic answer (or wand) —but I do have the willingness to be with you in your current season of life. Together we will unearth hard truths, gently tend to all parts of the human experience, and celebrate the new growth that you create.

When you work with me, you can expect to be met with curiosity, compassion, and an intention to see you in your wholeness. Together, we’ll explore the stories, beliefs, experiences, and patterns that have shaped how you move through the world—and begin to notice what still feels true, and what may be ready to be released.

Our work may draw from IFS, clinical hypnosis, Eastern and holistic practices, eco-therapy, and an understanding of the nervous system and its instinct to protect you. Rather than forcing change, we’ll listen for what your body, mind, and inner world are communicating, creating space for greater awareness, choice, and trust in yourself.

You can expect that all phases of the life cycle will be included in our work together: rooting, growing, shedding, composting, resting, and beginning again. Together, we’ll make room for the uncertainty of becoming, reconnect with your inner knowing, and explore how to move through life’s transitions with greater clarity and intention.

My hope is that you leave our work feeling more rooted in yourself—better able to recognize your needs, honor what is true for you, and meet each passage of your life with presence.

What to Expect

An exploration of Mindfulness, Ritual, Breathwork, Reiki, Meditation & Yoga

Cultivate self-awareness and take your power back. Learn to recognize your body’s internal cues when it needs support and create the capacity to hold space for internal states of discomfort. By tracing these cues to their original source, you can honor your experience and allow it to move. Through this process, you’ll enhance your ability to regulate your body’s stress response, reprogram a felt sense of safety, and tap into your deeper wisdom.

A blending of neurobiology, the mind-body connection, building introception, and relational support. Creating space to recognize, be with, and support all of your parts and stages of life.

This integrative approach extends beyond traditional talk therapy and may include: mindfulness, breathwork, movement, creative arts, meditation, yoga & more. This mixed style builds upon your internal resources of connection, curiosity and courage.

A technique that taps into the brain’s natural neuroplasticity—its ability to rewire and heal. With this tool you can reshape old patterns, reduce anxiety or chronic pain, and reprocess overwhelming experiences.

Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and calm that anyone can learn. In this state, the brain integrates logic and emotion more effectively, helping you access inner resources, shift perspective, and create lasting changes in how you think, feel, and respond.

Our Sessions Together May Include

A non-medical service for emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and/or their loved ones during the dying process.

A death doula walks alongside you to the death gate—offering emotional support, helping you make meaningful choices, guiding you through end-of-life planning, creating a peaceful space for your final days, and ensuring your wishes are honored with care and compassion.

A teacher and mentor for LPC and LMFT associates on the path of obtaining their state license. Also for licensed providers wanting support to incorporate new modalities into their therapeutic approach.

A learning space to explore your own unique methods of inviting alternative, traditional, and mind-body centered methods of being a mental health therapist. De-center pathology, allow your humanness to inform your work,  obtain your supervision hours, and enliven your therapeutic approach.

If we both feel like we're a match after your phone call then we'll move forward! Next you'll  complete an intake form and other paperwork before scheduling our first session.
